Installer Guide: Condensate discharge pipe installation
External Boilers. Grandee Boilers are also available as 15/22's and 23/28's external models. In certain circumstances, it may be more desirable, or more convenient, to position your Grandee boiler outside of the house on a suitable external wall. An advantage of an external boiler is that any disruption resulting from routine servicing
Condensing boilers are water heaters fueled by gas or oil. They achieve high efficiency (typically greater than 90% on the higher heating value) by condensing water vapour in the exhaust gases and so recovering its latent heat of vaporisation, which would otherwise …

The term 'condensing' refers to the way a boiler operates. All boilers used to be non-condensing, which meant that the waste gases and heat produced by the boiler were released outside the home. This lead to a significant amount of heat, and therefore money, being wasted. To make boilers more energy efficient, condensing boilers were developed.
Compared to between £700 – £1,000 for a gas boiler and around £1,300 for LPG, oil systems are definitely more costly. It is possible to combine an oil system with solar thermal heating or solid fuel to lower heating costs. Oil boilers are in shorter supply than gas models and so tend to be a bit pricier by, on average, around £300 – £400.
Upgrading to a Condensing Oil Boiler can result in significant savings not just financial but in CO² emissions as well. Even the best oil boilers require replacement approximately every 15-20 years. Even if you have had your boiler regularly serviced it will still undergo general wear …
Condensate is what gets produced when your boiler is being used to heat your home or produce hot water. This is because when your boiler burns fuel, a chemical reaction causes produces carbon dioxide and water vapour by-products. Once enough heat is produced from this vapour, it's …
A condensing boiler is not a compact fluorescent lamp (CFL); you can't simply plug it into a typical system and expect it to save energy. Selecting a condensing boiler is the easiest and least consequential part of designing a condensing boiler system. This paper provides basic principles for designing a heating system utilizing condensing
Here are just some other reasons why a condensing boiler is the one for you: Money saving – your energy bills will be lower due to the energy and heat saved and recycled. Wireless programming – your thermostat can be controlled wirelessly for ease of use. They can automatically sense air
Condensing KT – Main benefits. • Energy class for heating A. • Possibility of preparing hot water in an external storage tank. • Condensing stainless steel heat exchanger with extra wide water channels. • Compact and elegant design. • Easy operation with long life with up to 106% efficiency. • …
Unlike a non-condensing gas boiler, a condensing boiler has one main heat exchanger built into it. The second exchanger uses heat that's present in the flue gasses to reheat the water, making gas condensing boilers over 90 percent efficient. During this process, the temperature of the flue gas reduces significantly, which creates condensation.
All of our external oil boilers are condensing, as they are extremely energy efficient, converting more of the oil burnt into usable heat and ensuring you have the lowest running costs and great value for money. They are located in the ErP "A" segment, which is the very top band of the energy related oil boilers …
Mar 24, 2021 · What Are the Advantages of Condensing Boilers? Increased Energy Efficiency. The main reason why condensing boilers are better than non-condensing models is that they Lower Carbon Footprint. Since 2005, it has become mandatory to install condensing boilers if your old boiler …
The award winning Vortex and VortexBlue oil-fired condensing boilers are available in internal, external, combination, boiler house and wall hung models, all of which are endorsed by the Energy Saving Trust.
Custom designed external cover. 10 Year parts and labour warranty* 37Kw Combination Boiler. The Ideal Logic+ Hydronic Combination Boiler is a gas fired condensing boiler with a heat output of

Nov 25, 2020 · Just talking to a few other Gas Engineers about external condensate pipe insulation. It seems that up to 1.25" pipe needs insulated when external (one said BC wanted it through the wall as well????), but if you move up to 1.5" external, it doesn't require insulation. I've had a look through the books but can't find anything about sizes that
Sep 25, 2018 · Condensing boilers are fitted with 2 internal heat exchangers to ensure that less heat is lost. Thanks to this, the boiler doesn't have to work as hard and uses less energy. Compared to a non-condensing unit, condensing boilers use less fuel and power while producing fewer CO2 emissions.
